Manager Reid Shortlisted for Blackpool Job

there was controversy even before the play off final 1st leg against Airdrie United had begun as the Blackpool Evening Gazette identified Ayr United manager Brian Reid as one of those shortlisted for the vacant managers job at Blackpool.

Reid had been with the Seasiders as a player and happy memories there may have been a lure for him.

In the end it was former Plymouth manager Ian Holoway who bagged the job, but Ayr United fans are noiw wondering how long Reid will be at the club.

Clearly he sees his future away from Somerset Park and it is conceivable that Ayr United may start next season without him - winning the 1st Division play offs could be the clincher for Ayr manager.
