Can Ayr Avoid the Banana Skins?

After a superb 4-2 home against East Fife to bring themselves to within 1 point of top spot in the league, Ayr United travel to little Lochee United in tommorrow's Scottish Cup tie.

Neil McGowan is eligible to play despite an impending two-match suspension for the red card he picked up in the 4-2 win over East Fife.

However, he is a doubt with a thigh strain, while skipper Chris Aitken is struggling with a calf injury.

Lochee United central defenders Colin Watson (broken ankle) and Greg Kirk (ankle ligaments) will miss out.

The tie provides Ayr United with a huge potential banana skin and they'll be hoping to continue their league form in the Cup tommorrow.

However, the junior side are still confident they can cause an upset in the Homecoming Scottish Cup.
