Clean bill of health for Ayr

Ayr player-manager Mark Roberts has a full squad to pick from for the visit of East Fife.

Adam Hunter is available again after suspension and Martyn Campbell has returned from a foot injury that kept him sidelined for two months, but Roberts is reluctant to alter things after a fine 1-0 win at Forfar last weekend.

"We deserved a hard fought success so I am not going to move far away from the players that achieved that," he said.

"East Fife took a knock against Brechin last weekend that they will want to bounce back from, but we have the incentive of going 12 points clear of them in the play-off race."

East Fife expect to have Joe Mbu available following injury, but Paul Willis remains sidelined with an ankle problem.

Liam Buchanan and Ryan Stewart could be given starting roles after impressing as substitutes in last Saturday's 3-1 defeat against Brechin.

Manager Gary Naysmith said: "Our first half performance last weekend was not as good as the previous two games and we paid the price.

"We now travel to Ayr and that is a really tough fixture so we need to get back to the standard that we can. Ayr will be delighted after beating Forfar so we know that we have to play well to win."
