Ayr United travel to New Broomfield Stadium to re-energise their survival bid.  Facing Airdrie United, Ayr hope to emulate their play off victory their at the end of last season and pull of their first away win of the season.

Ayr have won only once in the league this season at home against Raith Rovers and with the gap beginning to build with the teams just above them in the league an end to their disasterous run needs to come soon.

Airdrie United lie in the automatic relegation place, 3 points behind Ayr and the Somerset Park side would like it stay that way at the very least by teatime tonight.

Kevin James is still doutbful having missed the last four matches with an achilles problem but Willie easton, struggling with a hamstring could make the starting line up.
