Ayr United are still seeking their first Division 1 win whilst Ross County stay at the top of Division One thanks to their 2-1 win at Dingwall on Saturday.

Goals from Steven Craig and Richard Brittain at Victoria Park, Dingwall inside the first 15 minutes dumped Ayr despite a spirited come back in the second half..

Craig side-footed home a great pass from Iain Vigurs on 15 minutes.

And Brittain added a stunning drive after the Ayr United defence failed to deal with Paul Lawson's corner.

Ayr looked a different team in the second half and they pulled one back on 53 minutes when Mark Roberts smashed home a shot, a rare first division goal for Ayr fans to savour. Despite a much better sequence of play Ayr didnt manage to pull off an unexpected draw.

Both teams were reduced to 10 men after County's Alex Keddie and Ayr's Neil McGowan were sent off in 88 and 90 minutes respectively.

It leaves Ayr second bottom in the division above Morton on goal difference. Nevertheless the are still in touching distance of the rest of the pack with even promotion favoutites Dunfermline a mere 3 points ahead of Ayr.
