United Look For League Win At Peterhead

Ayr United head for Recreation Park, Peterhead this Saturday for their first ever league match in the town.

Ayr United have recorded two wins there previously, however.

The first victory came in a Scottish Cup 1st Round match on 25th January 1947 when United recorded a 5-1 win.

The second was in a friendly match played on 28th July 1999 as part of a series of pre-season friendlies in the highlands.

That game ended in another win for Ayr, this time by 3-2.

No programme for either game was issued.

Ayr United, currently the draw specialists in Division 2, have not one a match since August. However, they have lead by 2 goals away on three occassions in their last three away matches but let this lead slip to draw. A win is desperatele needed for the Honestmen.

Lets hope United can make it three wins in a row at Peterhead.
