German Win for Ayr in Austria

Ayr United began their 2009/10 Centenary season with a tour match against German side Wacker Burghausen.

Wacker who play in the German 3rd division played against Brian Reid's Honest Men at the end of the pre-season tour to Austria.

Even though Wacker were a late change of opposition, from that previously published, they provided a decent challenge that allowed Brian to put the squad through their paces.

Ayr won the game 3-0 with goals from Chris Aitken (2, one a penalty) and a 3rd from a trialist.
