Ayr United have signed former Brechin City defender Scott Walker and Morton midfielder Dean Keenan.

The 33-year-old Walker, previously of Hartlepool, Dunfermline and St Mirren, spent four seasons at Glebe Park.

Keenan was on loan to Ayr from First Division Morton this season and returns for another bid for promotion from Division Two.

Ayr United have also completed the signing of Scott Agnew from Alloa Athletic.

The midfielder has signed a two-year deal with the Somerset Park outfit after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.

Ayr chairman Lachlan Cameron told the club website: "We're very pleased he has signed and that we were able to agree terms with Alloa.

"Scott is a local boy and has been working for us doing community coaching for the last year."

Also heading for Somerset Park is former Stirling Albion midfielder Chris Aitken. The 28 year old has agreed a two year contract and is United's eighth signing of the season.

Having scored 15 goals for Albion last season, Chris said that it was Ayr's ambition that had brought him to the club.

He said that he had had a few offers but that Ayr had stood out and that he wasnt coming to Somerset Park to under-achieve.

Leaving Somerset Park however is Ayr favourite gareth Wardlaw who has opted to move to last season's play off losers Raith Rovers.
