New Manager in Charge

Ayr United appointed Neil Watt as the club's new Football Manager on 22nd March 2007 after the sacking of Robert Conner a few weeks earlier

The former Stranraer Manager is the man entrusted with the job of steering United back to the first division. Neil Watt is aged 44 and is a partner in a Glasgow based property business. Following a successful spell as manager at Stranraer, which saw the club achieve successive promotions and Neil awarded Bells Manager of the Year in successive years, he opted to take some time out from football and after a ten month break is ready to make his mark again on the game.

Neil will be joined at United by Assistant Stuart Millar, who was part of the successful management team at Stranraer.
