KaisAyr are Scottish Champions

Last updated : 14 July 2004 By Honestman
After the last day of the season last weekend, KaisAyr are now
officially the IFA Scottish League Champions. Just for good measure the team are second in the UK league also not far behind leaders Fulham.

However, the season doesn't end there for the Ayr lads. A League and Cup Double is on the cards this weekend when KaisAyr play Millwall in the IFA British Cup Final this coming Friday, (16th July), in Leeds. KaisAyr have got to the final the hard way , playing all 4 ties away from home . Winning 6-1 at Raith , 8-0 at Grimsby , 3-0 at Scunthorpe and 7-0 v Arsenal at Preston. 24 goals for and 1 against . An excellent record. A National Cup will be a first for KaisAyr and a well deserved one.

This is followed by KaisAyr trying to win the Worldnet
Competition, again in Leeds this same weekend.

The league championship will be displayed at half time during the Challenge Cup match against Falkirk on 31st July.

ayrunited-mad congratulates the team and wishes them well for the weekend ahead - lets hope they can parade the British Cup and the Worldnet trophy on 31st July also.
